South Africa's former statistician general, Dr Pali Lehohla, has poured water on suggestions that there is something wrong with how Statistics South Africa measures unemployment. This came after one of the country's big five banks said a big part of the economy was left out, making the country's unemployment rate among the highest in the world. Lehohla says this is madness.
