Concerns as  SA's construction industry sees a decline in public investment in infrastructure

There are ongoing concerns over South Africa's construction industry, which has been in decline for some time. With one of the big construction companies struggling to keep its head above water sometimes, some commentators have attributed this slump largely to a lack of public investment in infrastructure. Now Murray & Roberts is facing potential liquidation, after a creditor initiated legal proceedings in the Gauteng Division of the High Court, seeking a final or provisional winding-up order against the company.
