Canal+ total takeover of Multichoice hits a speed bump in Ghana

Canal+, which currently owns over a third of MultiChoice, Africa's largest pay TV operator,r which has recently received a $2 billion (R35 billion)  takeover offer by the South African Competition Tribunal, might have hit a snag in West Africa.

Ghana's communication regulator, the National Communications Authority (NCA), has ordered the shutdown of the country's MultiChoice by September 8 due to the streamer's refusal to cut its subscription rate by 30%.
