A movement called "Kick Polluters Out" is hosting continent-wide week-long demonstrations to demand an end to what they call TotalEnergies' plunder and widespread destruction in Africa. The movement says it will use this week to challenge TotalEnergies on environmental destruction to human rights abuses, and greenwashing through sponsorships. Kick Polluters Out says even though in some countries TotalEnergies is not currently extracting any fossil fuels but its presence is being felt through media, sponsorships, and continental influence.
