Sizwe Nxasana's career began in corporate South Africa, where he led one of the region's largest telecommunications companies, Telkom. In 2005, he joined FirstRand Banking Group as CEO, and served until retirement in 2015. Nxasana co-founded Sifiso Learning Group in order to provide dynamic, engaging, and directly relevant education. On the 30th of May, he successfully defended his doctoral thesis, Navigating Teacher Learning in a Context of Implementing Project-Based Learning in South African K12 Education, cementing his role as a champion for educational reforms.
