Africa's water systems are said to be in a crisis, with about 845 million people lacking safely managed drinking water, and over 900 million have no access to safe sanitation. Analysts say that ensuring reliable water services in sub-Saharan Africa will require governments, communities, and development funders to work together. By coordinating infrastructure, investment, information, and institutions, the region can build sustainable and resilient water systems for everyone.
