President Trump's executive order titled "Urgent National Action to Save College Sports" is the Trump administration’s most sweeping move yet on college athletics, aimed at reining in what it calls an “out‑of‑control arms race” in the NIL and transfer era.  The move limits athlete eligibility, cracks down on the transfer portal, targets NIL and pay‑for‑play and ties compliance to federal money.  Is this necessary? Would the market have eventually regulated itself?
