Fresno leaders are considering naming a new northwest Fresno park after former Lieutenant Governor Cruz Bustamante. Councilmember Mike Karbassi has proposed the honor, calling Bustamante a “trailblazer” for Latino representation and Central Valley leadership. The proposed “Cruz Bustamante Park” would be built near Veterans Boulevard and Barstow Avenue.
