Ryan Routh, convicted of attempting to assassinate Donald Trump on a Florida golf course in 2024, was sentenced this morning to life in prison plus seven additional years. Routh — who once tried to stab himself in court — had asked for just 27 years, but the judge rejected his plea, citing the severity and premeditation of the crime.
