The controversy dubbed "Margarita-gate" has erupted after U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen's meeting with Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a man deported to El Salvador, was allegedly staged by Salvadoran officials. Photos showed margarita glasses on the table, which Van Hollen claims were placed there to discredit him and Abrego Garcia. Meanwhile, during an interviw with Good Morning America, Abrego Garcia's wife wouldn't answer why she placed restraining orders on her husband during their relationship.
