A Instagram post by former FBI Director James Comey captioned, “Cool shell formation on my beach walk” with seashells to spell out the numbers "86" and "47" on a beach. In slang, "86" means to get rid of or eliminate, while "47" is widely interpreted as a reference to Donald Trump, the 47th President of the United States. Critics, including Trump and his allies, interpreted the post as a veiled threat or call for violence. Comey later deleted the post and denied any malicious intent.
