Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, made their first appearance in a Manhattan federal court this morning after being captured over the weekend. Both pleaded not guilty to narco‑terrorism, cocaine‑importation, and weapons‑related charges. Maduro insisted he is “still the president” as Judge Alvin Hellerstein oversaw the hearing.
