NASA is poised to make history today with the launch of Artemis II, the first crewed mission toward the Moon in more than 50 years. Lifting off from Kennedy Space Center aboard the powerful Space Launch System rocket, the mission will send four astronauts on a roughly nine‑day journey around the Moon and back, testing critical systems for future lunar landings. The flight marks a major step in NASA’s Artemis program, paving the way for astronauts to return to the lunar surface later this decade.
