We look at a major national effort supporting veteran mental health, as the Soldier On “March On” Challenge comes to a close with strong community backing across Australia.
More than 12,000 Australians took part, walking and moving in solidarity as part of a symbolic 96 kilometre challenge inspired by the Kokoda Track. The result is one of the organisation’s most successful campaigns to date, raising over $3 million for veteran and family support services.
Joining us is Paul Singer, CEO of Soldier On, to reflect on the campaign, the community response, and what this level of national support means for veterans facing ongoing mental health challenges.
We’ll also explore where the funds will be directed, what impact they will have on the ground, and why demand for veteran support services continues to grow across the country.
It’s a conversation about community action, service, and turning awareness into real-world support for those who have served.
