The Big Brekky Crew spoke with Mike Nash, an electrician and long-term resident of Tennant Creek, who is advocating for the reinstatement of the weather radar since it was decommissioned in 2015. The new Doppler radar was slated to be installed and operational bylate 2022 but has been repeatedly pushed back. One Tank Hill aka Bill Allen Lookout is now the proposed site, with the BOM in the process of getting the relevant approvals to build the radar there.
