Approaching the last week for submissions to First Sounds Vol 15, 8CCC's Kate Lyons-Dawson spoke with Aaron Langford, presenter and producer at 93.7FM Koori Radio for their Drive show Making Tracks and Deadly Human Rights, who will be one of the judges this year. Aaron brings more than 20 years of experience across radio, approaching broadcasting as both storytelling practice and community infrastructure, exploring how sound shapes culture and connection.

A collaborative partnership between the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) and Gadigal Information Service / Koori Radio (GIS), First Sounds serves as a vital bridge connecting First Nations artists with millions of listeners nationwide since launching in 2020. Submissions close 13 October and tracks need to be recorded in the last 18 months.
