Thanks to a dedicated group of enthusiastic volunteers, weekly youth athletic meets have returned to the Barkly Region. Over the weekend, the Tennant Creek Athletics Committee ran their first 'come try' day, which saw over 40 young people try their hands (and feet) at throwing, jumping and running, while the toddlers' 'Tiny Tots' program ran a range of fun, movement-based learning activities. Committee Member Matt Blankenspoor joined The Big Brekky Show from the Tennant Creek studio to tell us more. The program continues every Thursday afternoon at the Tennant Creek Primary School from 5pm.
