Tune in here to this Tuesday edition of Breaking With Brett Jensen!
Breaking Brett Jensen kicks off the show by talking about all the news concerning Bill Belichick, and the state board of elections denying a request for another recount. This is causing upheaval with Republican State Supreme Court candidate Jefferson Griffin, who is demanding a recount by hand despite two previous recounts resulting in his opposition, Justice Allsion Riggs, gaining more votes than him. With the state board of elections denying Griffin's request, the 2024 North Carolina elections are officially over.
Later, Brett shares the latest on Bill Belichick considering the head football coach position at UNC Chapel Hill. Brett thinks this is a terrible idea despite Belichick's storied career, at 72 years old Belichick will leave the Tar Heels in the same position they are now in just a few years. The Tar Heels don't need a media stunt, they need a good coach that can build a winning culture over time.
Brett wraps tonight's show up with President-elect Donald Trump's nomination of Dan Bishop from North Carolina as Deputy Director for Budget at the Office of Management and Budget.
