 and Brett Jensen shares a harrowing interview with a local resident, Jimbo, who recounts a near-death experience during the storm. Jimbo describes how rapidly rising waters trapped his family and the chaos they experienced as bridges collapsed and mudslides occurred. 

Later Jensen mentions actions being taken by the North Carolina state legislature to provide immediate aid, including proposed funds for recovery efforts such as rebuilding infrastructure, schools, and childcare support.
