Every month Canadians rely on food banks, and NEW socks are one of the most needed and least donated items to these facilities. Socks are more than an article of clothing to those who have so little.
Now through to the March 23rd, Dawna Mahood of SOCKS for CKL in partnership with the United Way CKL, will be launching a new campaign in support of A Place Called Home’s emergency shelter to support the homeless in the City of Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton County.
It’s easy to donate your NEW socks: make your purchase, then drop them off at the following locations: United Way – City of Kawartha Lakes, Marks, Loblaws and Home Hardware all located in Lindsay.
