This morning Wix told listeners that his last day will be two weeks today.  After 36 years covering local news and brightening my day, he is ready to retire.  I'm thrilled to say he and his wife, Deb, are retiring together in the same week.  It's been lovely to hear about their travel and future plans as they've gotten ready for their next life stage together.  I'm THRILLED for them, but of course, wracked with anxiety as to what this means for the morning show.  Wix and I have worked together on the morning show for FIFTEEN YEARS!  And we worked together for many years before that, before we WERE a morning show.  We even moved to Simcoe County at the same time from Kitchener Waterloo.  

We hope to send him off in style with some reflections back, but I can't tell you HOW because I want that to be a surprise for Wix, but we do want to get Roop to come back for a show in his last week.  We'll let you know when that's happening.  

As for the morning show... there are a lot of unanswered questions.  Want to be my co-host?
