Shinedown is another band that WAAF took a chance on to help propel them into the stratosphere.  Singer Brent Smith called in to talk to Mistress Carrie and Mike Hsu about their early days working with the station and their iconic in-studio performance of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Simple Man" which WAAF still played regularly until the end.
