In a shocking turn of events, Giancarlo Stanton is on the IL again. He’s out at least a month with a hamstring injury. Al had ‘hamstring’ in the pool from 10 days ago when we predicted what would eventually put him on the shelf. The guy barely runs and he still hurts his hamstring. He spent the entire offseason doing things so that he didn’t hurt his hamstring and he still did it. Both the Mets and Yankees are off today as they play each other tomorrow and Wednesday. C-Lo is in for Jerry and is here for his first update. He starts with Edwin Diaz being tossed for ‘sticky stuff’ at the start of the bottom of the ninth. Boomer and Gio both think he used sticky stuff to get the edge back that he lost when he blew all those saves. We heard from Stanton on his hamstring injury. The Yankees acquired former Met JD Davis. Protestors rushed the green on the 18th hole at the Travelers. In the final segment of the hour, we both think Edwin Diaz was indeed trying to get the upper hand by using sticky stuff. He had been struggling, so it makes sense that he would use it.
