Hour 1
Jerry and CLo are hosting today as we begin the final week of summer vacations. Jerry wants to start on a positive note so he begins with the Yankees. He says this is their year. If not now, when? CLo still has to see them play well in October. Pat Boyle is doing updates for us for the first time today. He is wearing what Jerry calls a “loud” shirt. Aaron Judge hit HRs 50 and 51 yesterday. Boyle tells us that Shaun Morash shaves his own rear end in his backyard. The Mets blew a 2-0 8th inning lead. In the final segment of the hour, Jerry brings up Jordan Montgomery’s bad experience as a Scott Boras client and what that could mean for Pete Alonso, who hired Boras in October and is not having a great season.
Hour 2
The Mets had a real kick-in-the-groin when they lost a game they never should have lost. They blew a late lead and split with the Padres when they were close to winning the series. Pat Boyle returns for an update and Judge’s power brings us to old audio of Richard Neer talking about goat testicles. Boyle makes it clear that he does not wear perfume. Juan Soto joked about his upcoming free agency. In the final segment of the hour, we talk about Aaron Judge’s season and contract. Jerry and CLo go over how many streaming services they pay for.
Hour 3
Awful preseason football makes us want the real thing even more. Jerry has high expectations for the Jets but CLo wants to see it before he believes it. Jerry thinks the Giants will be alive in December and CLo believes that Daniel Jones will be benched to avoid the injury guarantee in his contract. Pat Boyle returns for an update and has Aaron Judge’s response to being asked if he is locked in yet. Judge is breaking records on a nightly basis. Zach Wilson made the roster in Denver. Boyle was locked into the Patriots/Commanders preseason game because he bet on it. Boyle brings us the details of an online feud between sports bettors. In the final segment of the hour, Jerry tells CLo about an upcoming documentary and we find out Zoo knows a lot of Tom Hanks’s IMDB off the top of his head.
Hour 4
Jerry and CLo wonder how Aaron Judge compares to Yankee legends. The subject of a previous Moment of The Day returns. Pat Boyle returns for an update but first Pat has a question for Jerry about the old WFAN newsroom atmosphere. Aaron Judge hit homers 50 and 51 yesterday. The Mets blew a game in San Diego. What’s everyone’s confidence level in the Mets making the playoffs? Not high at all. The Jets and Giants played a “football” game on Saturday night. Tomorrow is cutdown day across the NFL. The Moment of The Day involves Jerry asking Pat if he is wearing perfume. In the final segment of the hour, CLo watched the Apollo 13 documentary trailer and tells Jerry about visiting the house where Nicole Brown Simpson was murdered while he was on vacation with his family.
