Hour 1

Gio is here with a big trophy as his team won the “Ryder Cup” style event for the first time in five tries. Boomer’s team came in second in his event. He missed multiple putts and takes responsibility for his team not winning. We have another “grain of salt” spot as a headline said to take Boomer’s comment about Davante Adams with one. Boomer believes where there’s smoke there’s fire, that Davante Adams will be a Jet and doesn’t see how it doesn’t happen. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with 

Pete Alonso saying how much fun he had at the HR Derby even though he lost. Alonso also talked about how he doesn’t want to be traded and wants to be a Met. Gio says the Pete Alonso situation mirrors what we are watching with Saquon Barkley on Hard Knocks. The performance of the national anthem before the HR Derby was “cringe-worthy”. Peter Schwartz sang “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” at a New York Rise softball game. Shaun Morash had a problem with a rat and possum making holes in his basement. In the final segment of the hour, Gio describes a seaman mistake that Dave Portnoy made. Boomer and Gio have questions about a lot of holes in the story.

Hour 2

Craig Carton is going to be calling three Yankee games on the radio with Suzyn Waldman in August. Has Suzyn come around on Craig after all those years he spent making fun of her? Boomer says Craig and Suzyn have not spoken yet but sources say Suzyn is ok with it. Gio says it’s important for Suzyn to be on board and says she looks strong for working with Craig. Al chimes in from his vacation wondering how Evan and Tiki did not ask Craig about his relationship with Suzyn. Jerry returns for an update but first Boomer wonders why Brandon Tierney hasn’t gotten a chance to do color for the Yankee broadcasts. Pete Alonso is excited about the Mets second half. Elly De La Cruz got to meet his favorite player growing up, Derek Jeter. Aaron Judge and Juan Soto talked about Joan Soto’s future. What constitutes starting lineup vs batting order? Kevin Garnett is a big fan of Julius Randle. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer brings up James Dolan’s letter complaining about the NBA’s new media deal. Boomer much prefers watching a local broadcast to a national one.

Hour 3

We were sent bags to urinate into while in the car. Boomer heard tale of an NBA player who can tie his unit into a knot. Gio tries to guess who it was. Will Pete Alonso chase the highest offer in free agency and will it come close to what the Mets reportedly offered him last offseason? Gio thinks it was easier for the Giants to let Saquon walk than it would be for the Mets to lose Alonso. Jerry returns for an update and begins with Al’s rough vacation. He has “had it with life right now”. Pete Alonso wants the Mets to be buyers at the trade deadline. Juan Soto and Aaron Judge have been wowed by watching each other on a daily basis. Colin Cowherd doesn’t know baseball. Daniel Jones was on Phil and Matt Simms’ podcast. They asked him about practicing shirtless. In the final segment of the hour, Gio says last night’s anthem performance will unfortunately be how most people know Ingrid Andress.

Hour 4

Sporting News said to take Boomer’s Davante Adams comment with a grain of salt. Now Dan Orlovsky is saying the same thing. What would the compensation be for an Adams trade to the Jets? Boomer thinks the Jets will be a playoff team. Gio has some questions about the Jets, mainly Robert Saleh. Boomer wants to see Zach Wilson start at the Jets in week 4 but Gio says he will find a way to not play. The Jets defense would love a chance to play against Zach. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with Pete Alonso saying he does not want to be traded. We hear last night’s anthem performance again as well as Peter Schwartz leading a softball crowd in “Take Me Out to the Ball Game”. Peter has a lot of jobs. Jerry has sound from another strange interview. The Moment of The Day involves Eddie Scozzare inserting Angry Jerry into a Jerry and Gio vs Boomer debate. In the final segment of the day, Gio has noticed Boomer’s Long Island accent coming out more often recently. Then we rank potatoes.
