Hour 1

Boomer & Gio are out this week so today it’s Jerry and Joe Benigno. Joe is not happy with the Mets performance this weekend against the Angels. Jerry said we still don’t know what this Mets team is right now. Joe and Jerry both think Carlos Mendoza is doing a great job this season. We also talked about Pete Alonso’s season as the Mets have to decide if he’s going to be worth the money. Joe B wants Steve Cohen to sign Juan Soto. Aaron Judge was intentionally walked 4 times this weekend including 3 times yesterday. C-Lo is on updates today and he went to see Hootie & The Blowfish at PNC Arts Center. The Yankees beat the Blue Jays in 10 with a walk off hit by DJ. Jerry wonders if Boone got a call from upstairs to pull Torres from the game on Friday for not hustling. The Mets lost to the Angels and now have to go to St. Louis today for a makeup game and then to Colorado. In the final segment of the hour, Joe B has a Todd Rundgren memory about a dance club named, ‘The Marshmallow’. A caller wants Joe to give Steve Cohen a grade. He does, and it’s not great.

Hour 2

The Jets have their first preseason game this coming weekend against Washington. Jerry believes they are a Super Bowl contending team. Joe Benigno is not buying it as he’s been screwed over by them too many times and he doesn’t trust them. Joe has to see it, Bro. On paper they look terrific but he’s been hosed too many times by the Jets. The Jets defense also doesn’t create enough turnovers. Eli Manning will be eligible for the Hall of Fame and Jerry wonders how he’s viewed around the country. Jerry doesn’t think Eli gets in his first year. C-Lo returns for an update but first we talked about golf, cruises and air travel. DJ had a walk off single in the tenth as the Yankees beat the Blue Jays. A caller to Richard Neer kept dropping ‘Jazz Chism’ references and Richard had no idea. In the final segment of the hour, we took calls on Alonso and Judge. We also got a call from a payphone in Atlantic City which was very strange.

Hour 3

Jerry had a flat tire yesterday and instead of calling AAA, he changed it himself. People on Twitter criticized him for changing it himself instead of having AAA do it. Jerry changed the tire in 15 min. It would have taken forever for AAA to arrive and do it. Joe B wants Mark Gastineau in the Hall of Fame. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with Aaron Judge getting walked intentionally 4 times this weekend, including 3 times yesterday. The Mets lost a series to the Angels and have to go to St. Louis for a makeup game today before heading to Colorado. A pole vaulter in the olympics had a situation where his package hit the bar. In the final segment of the hour, Joe B tells us he was locked in the bathroom stall the last time he worked here a few months ago.

Hour 4

We talked about the Yankees and Aaron Judge. Jerry thinks he’s the greatest player he ever saw play. Before Judge it was Ken Griffey Jr. Joe said Barry Bonds, but now Judge. Joe watched the Pete Rose documentary on Max. C-Lo returns for an update but first Joe told us about his 2 hip replacements and he blamed running for over 25 years. DJ had a walk off single in the 10th as the Yankees beat the Blue Jays. Jerry and Joe both have cats that wake them up in the middle of the night. The Moment of The Day involves a pole vaulter and his package. In the final segment of the show, we clean up the phone calls.
