Hour 1:

We start with some football today as both the Jets and Giants commented on DeAndre Hopkins. Gio called him ‘the James Harden of the NFL’ and doesn’t want him here. Boomer said the Giants can’t afford him and the Jets have no room for him. He does not have a great reputation in the league as far as work ethic. The Athletic put out an article about Aaron Rodgers wanting to get Brian Gutekunst fired. Boomer said Rodgers and Tom Brady were both with their original teams way too long. Going to Tampa and Rodgers to the Jets gave them new energy. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the Mets beating the Phillies in Queens. Mark Canha had all 4 RBIs. Carlos Carrasco pitched well and hid in the bathroom in the sixth inning because he didn’t want to come out of the game. Former Met Taijuan Walker will pitch for the Phillies today. The Yankees were ‘Sweepless in Seattle’ losing 1-0 in ten. Giancarlo Stanton may be in the lineup this weekend when they play the Dodgers in L.A. Noah Syndergaard would give his ‘hypothetical first born’ to be able to pitch like he used to. The Heat and Nuggets get underway tonight in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Brian Daboll was asked about DeAndre Hopkins. Rob Saleh was asked about Breece Hall being ready for opening day. Raheem Morris saved a drowning child in L.A. In the final segment of the hour, Garret Wilson and Brett Baty grew up together and Wilson got to throw out the first pitch. Howie Rose also threw out the first pitch and it didn’t go as well. Boomer talked about how messy the Carton & Roberts studio is and he blamed Craig.

Hour 2:

There’s a lot of sports media news today. Shannon Sharpe is leaving Fox’s ‘Undisputed’ with Skip Bayless. He must really hate Skip if he’s leaving money on the table and leaving a successful show. Andrew Marchand had details on Pat McAfee’s contract with ESPN. Former MLB’er Doug Mankiewicz said ARod is going to ‘die a lonely man’. Said he’s forgotten about his high school baseball team. ARod found the comments strange as he thought they were friends. Will Boomer still talk to us when he’s no longer at WFAN. When someone texts a funny video, do you have to respond to it? Boomer said Eddie has never invited him anywhere. Jerry returns for an update but first we talked more about nobody on the show inviting Boomer out to do stuff. Jerry starts with the Mets beating the Phillies 4-1. Mark Canha had all 4 RBIs. Howie Rose threw out the first pitch and it did not go great. The Yankees lost in Seattle 1-0 in ten innings. Noah Syndergaard sounds sad thinking about the way he’s pitching. The Heat and Nuggets get underway tonight and Nikola Jokic does not want to hear that Vegas has them favored. Brian Daboll talked about the work ethic of Daniel Jones. Breece Hall talked about hanging out with Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers went to see Wicked on Broadway. Jerry invites the staff to ‘The Empire Strips Back’, a burlesque show. Gio does impressions of Eddie enjoying himself at the show. In the final segment of the hour, Al Pacino was indeed surprised by the pregnancy of his 29 year old girlfriend. ‘Do you think you could knock up a 29 year old’. Gio does not think his sperm will still be working at 80 years old.

Hour 3:

Max Scherzer will be on the mound this afternoon against the Phillies. His last three starts have been good and he’ll face Taijuan Walker, the former Met, at 1:10pm. Gio talked about some of the frustrating Mets players over the years. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Yankees losing 1-0 in Seattle in ten innings. Giancarlo Stanton should return this weekend in L.A. as the Yankees play the Dodgers. The Mets beat the Phillies 4-1 on Howie Rose bobblehead night. Jets WR Garrett Wilson threw out a pretty good first pitch and Howie Rose did not. Shohei Ohtani hit 2 HRs. It’s time for ‘What The Hell Was That?’ It’s Jerry laughing. The Heat and Nuggets get underway tonight and Nikola Jokic wants to be like Tim Duncan. JJ Redick has had enough of Chris Russo. ‘You are the absolute worst’. Darius Slayton said the Giants are a ‘bunch of Ferraris’. John Lynch gave us an update on QB Brock Purdy. In the final segment of the hour, Gio said he is interested in the Heat/Nuggets series. Boomer likes Denver in 6 and the Panthers in 7. Gio is taking the Nuggets in 5. We go over some bets in the NBA Finals and the Stanley Cup Finals.

Hour 4:

Both the Giants and Jets coaches were asked about DeAndre Hopkins and the Jets are one of the odds on favorites to land him and that makes no sense. The Jets don’t seem interested at all and they have a full room of wide receivers. A caller said the Mets don’t have a real leader, just a bunch of ‘wine and cheese guys’. Boomer & Gio disagree. Gerrit Cole seems like a wine and cheese guy. Jerry returns for an update but first we talked about the meet and greet we did yesterday for the people that missed the meet and greet at the live show in Jersey City. Jerry starts with the Mets beating the Phillies 4-1. Mark Canha had all 4 RBIs including a HR. The Mets will face former Met Taijuan Walker this afternoon. The Yankees lost in Seattle 1-0 in the tenth. Noah Syndergaard is struggling and would give his ‘hypothetical first born’ to get back to the way he was. Nikola Jokic is not having it with saying they are favored in Vegas. Brian Daboll talked about DeAndre Hopkins and doing their due diligence. Breece Hall is happy to be hanging out with Aaron Rodgers. They ‘got pizza and everything’. In the final segment of the show, Mark Canha is definitely a wine and cheese guy based on his Instagram. Right now Spike Eskin is getting a colonoscopy. A Pirates minor league player’s wife was attacked by a raccoon and now has a rare blood disease.
