Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

Hour 1

In a shocking turn of events, Giancarlo Stanton is on the IL again. He’s out at least a month with a hamstring injury. Al had ‘hamstring’ in the pool from 10 days ago when we predicted what would eventually put him on the shelf. The guy barely runs and he still hurts his hamstring. He spent the entire offseason doing things so that he didn’t hurt his hamstring and he still did it. Both the Mets and Yankees are off today as they play each other tomorrow and Wednesday. C-Lo is in for Jerry and is here for his first update. He starts with Edwin Diaz being tossed for ‘sticky stuff’ at the start of the bottom of the ninth. Boomer and Gio both think he used sticky stuff to get the edge back that he lost when he blew all those saves. We heard from Stanton on his hamstring injury. The Yankees acquired former Met JD Davis. Protestors rushed the green on the 18th hole at the Travelers. In the final segment of the hour, we both think Edwin Diaz was indeed trying to get the upper hand by using sticky stuff. He had been struggling, so it makes sense that he would use it.

Hour 2

Howie Rose will be on with Evan and Tiki from 5-6pm today, and then will host from 6:30pm-8:00pm to celebrate 50 years on the radio. Stephen A. Smith wants $25 million per year from ESPN. They offered $18 million a year. Dan Le Batard said ESPN is low-balling him. Gio wonders how they determine what a guy is worth at ESPN. Keith Hernandez posted something on Twitter that is confusing. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with Edwin Diaz getting tossed for having sticky stuff on his hand. We also talked about the Yankees losing another series to the Braves. In the final segment of the hour, on Saturday, Gio woke up to a fireman in his bedroom. Gio made eggs when he was drunk and he left the burner on. Three firetrucks showed up to his house.

Hour 3

Francisco Alvarez hit a HR at Wrigley Field and the tradition is you throw it back if it’s an opposing player. A Mets fan actually caught it and then the guy threw it back. Steve Gelbs told the guy to ‘grow a spine’. We also talked about the loser protesters on the 18th hole of the Travelers. C-Lo is here for an update and starts with audio from Evan Roberts’ ‘Rico Brogna’ podcast where he had some technical issues when talking about Edwin Diaz being tossed for sticky stuff. Giancarlo Stanton is on the IL again with a hamstring injury. He’ll be out for at least a month. We have game seven in the NHL finals tonight in Florida. In the final segment of the hour, news emerged that Bill Belichick’s new, young, girlfriend dated a 64 year old just before Bill. Boomer thinks the Giants would think twice about hiring Belichick because he has a 24 year old girlfriend.

Hour 4

Hasson Reddick was spotted vacationing in Tokyo. We still have no idea where Aaron Rodgers is. We talked some NFL and Boomer does not think that Drake Maye is going to start the season in New England. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with Edwin Diaz getting tossed last night for sticky stuff. The Yankees lost a series to the Braves, that’s three straight series. The Moment of The Day involves Joe Benigno, the original ‘Hawk Tuah’. In the final segment of the show, Howie Rose will be on WFAN later today to celebrate 50 years of being on the radio. The flashing Edmonton Oilers fan signed with Playboy. Gio is not as interested in her now that she cashed in with Playboy. Tonight is game seven of the NHL finals in Florida. A caller wants the Jets to cut Haason Reddick.
