Hour 1

Boomer and Gio react to the heated back-and-forth between Brandon Tierney and Brian Cashman. Gio thinks both guys were mostly right. Former Marlins executive David Samson wants to pour cold water on Jazz Chisholm’s hot start with the Yankees. Boomer says Aaron Boone navigated the Yankees through a tough time. Cashman is bothered by the assertion that the Yankees aren’t trying hard enough to win and both Boomer and Gio understand why. Luxury tax penalties are tougher than ever. Jerry is here for his first update but first we talk more about potential casino locations around NYC. Who will win the bid? Boomer thinks the control room smells like socks. DJ LeMahieu drove in all six Yankee runs in a 6-5 win. Jerry has the audio of David Samson ripping Jazz Chisholm. Cashman did acknowledge that the Yankees were mindful of Juan Soto’s impending free agency when making trades at the deadline. The Mets couldn’t complete the sweep over the Twins. Luis Severino said everything went wrong for him. In the final segment of the hour, we wonder why the United States is so far behind in the sport of 3v3 basketball. Gio had never heard of Azerbaijan. A caller is looking to bet on the Giants but rather than betting on them to win the division, Gio would instead bet the over for their wins. The guys agree the Giants must start 2-0 in order to have any success.

Hour 2

Gio just learned about Azerbaijan. He and Boomer did some research during the break and now we learn a lot more from Zoo and callers. Jerry is back for an update but first we fill him in on everything we learned about Azerbaijan. DJ LeMahieu had himself a day in Philly as the Yankees swept the Phillies. Boomer thinks the Mets can win the division but Gio says that is absolutely not happening. Adam Schein is fired up about Jazz Chisholm and the Yankees. Jerry wonders if Schein’s sons sound like their dad and that inspires Gio. Evan Roberts is getting set for a drunk Rico Brogna podcast episode during his upcoming vacation. He also has a strange plan for how to listen to and score a game during his drive to North Carolina. Gio says he and Evan could not possibly be more different. Aaron Rodgers told reports at Jets camp he was talking about golf when he made the Davante Adams comment and was trying to get a questioner to go away. Garrett Wilson appreciates Aaron Rodgers getting on him for mistakes. A Tennessee radio host handled an angry player very well. Team USA basketball rolled over South Sudan and Katie Ledecky won another gold medal. In the final segment of the hour, a caller who was just on a remote island off the coast of Italy tells Gio to check it out when he goes on vacation next week. She thinks the man she met could be God. Gio shares the sad news that Joan in Ridgewood, who we met in an accidental phone call a few months ago, has passed away.

Hour 3

Gio says don’t overreact to Daniel Jones struggling in training camp. Boomer reminds us that Daniel Jones still isn’t a full year removed from tearing his ACL. Aaron Rodgers and Robert Saleh still have communication issues to work out. Boomer believes players should play a little bit in the preseason to get the feel of the game. He adds most coaches can talk and agree to use basic gameplans for those series. Does Aaron Rodgers read every article written about him? Jerry returns for an update but first we talk some Mad Dog vs Mike Tirico and the Olympics. Jerry has sound from camp and Boomer reiterates how important he feels it is for players to get on the field in the preseason.Aaron Rodgers and Garrett Wilson both say don’t worry about those videos of heated conversations, they’re normal for camp and those guys love it. D.J. Moore laughs at his initial reaction to being traded to the Bears last year now that he has signed a big extension. Brian Cashman thinks the Yankees have a collection of strengths and no weaknesses. He did acknowledge that the Yankees were paying attention to finances at the trade deadline. Gio believes that could mean money earmarked for Juan Soto. The Mets will be spending most of August out west. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer found an Olympic torch from the Athens 2004 games. Boomer has collected a lot of stuff over the years. Gio has picked up too much stuff of his own and has been trying to offload it.

Hour 4

Boomer and Gio discuss a current Olympic controversy involving a transgender boxer who is competing in the games. We live in crazy times. The news cycle and the sports world are harder than ever to keep up with. Gio looks into betting on this Olympic event. Jerry returns for his final update of the day but first we discuss popular giveaways with Eli Manning Yankee bobblehead day approaching. Jerry slips and says “Jizzum” so we can now add him to the list. Gio remembers Minko having trouble with equipment at a Nets game. David Samson doesn’t like Jazz Chisholm. Gio thinks he sounds like an annoying defense attorney. Jerry has the Mad Dog audio detailing what happened with Mike Tirico. Gio and Jerry have one specific image in mind when a certain name is mentioned. The Moment of The Day involves Adam Schein’s love of Jazz Chisholm and wondering what his sons sound like. In the final segment of the day, Gio replays a Minko technology malfunction. We also discuss the price for the Venu sports package. Boomer and Gio can’t believe how much it costs.
