And here in Boerne Happy Birthday to Staci Gahm who is a great photographer, Robert Miller, Michelle Kraemer, and Dr. Allison Ogle who’s practicing Osteopathic Medicine at WellMed here in Boerne.

 

Boerne ISD announced their new digital magazine “Constellations” yesterday at the State of the District event in the Cana Ballroom at St. Peters. In this first edition, they celebrate the stories that showcase the Boerne Advantage and the community, faith, learning, and spirit that sets our district apart.  The magazine is free and can be accessed at the Boerne ISD facebook page. We caught Boerne ISD Superintendent Dr. Kristin Kraft at that lunch and asked beside the new magazine what else was she most proud of this school year.

P-Tech stands for Pathways in Technology Early College High School focusing on health science.  For our kids to be able to walk out of high school with a credential and/or an associate degree in science is another great Boerne ISD Advantage.

 

The Boerne Police Department held its annual awards ceremony on Wednesday where several officers and dispatch staff were honored for exemplary service in 2025. Here are the winners from the big event: Officer of the Year went to Jose Salazar, Supervisor of the Year went to Sgt. Doug Meuth, and Dispatcher of the Year goes to Stephen Scott. Other fun awards included Fit for Duty, which was given to SRO Cpl. David Chavez, and Top Gun goes to Patrol Cpl. Jeffery Wilson.  And winning Chief of the Year Award again…was Cheif Perez… not fair…

It’ll be March on Sunday can you believe it - and what a month to see Boerne Radio artists at the Majestic in San Antonio - Chicago will there on the 7th, Patti LaBelle on the 8th, Diana Ross on the 12th, Robert Plant on the 19th, Styx on the 26th and Santana on the 29th.  

 

And speaking of needing a loan for all that, Liberty Capital Bank is open today but swing by on Monday to celebrate Texas Independence Day from 11:30 to 1:30…they are providing the Brisket sandwiches, fish tacos, and ice cold Dr. Pepper.  Plus live music from The Native Texans Band.  Liberty Capital Bank is the new name of Texas Heritage Bank on Main Street.

Geneva girls soccer had to battle Providence Classical last night to qualify for the state tournament. A one-sided game, no sugarcoating it- Geneva wins 9-0 and they will be heading to the state semifinals next… so close to a potential state title!

Baseball as softball continues tonight- the Boerne baseball team continues tournament play, with games against Sotomayor and Coronado. Greyhound softball is scheduled to host Smithson Valley today at 7. Champion baseball in tournament play as well, with games today against Eagle Pass and Churchill. Champion softball is set to host Alamo Heights in a district matchup at 7.
