Boerne Radio presents Boerne Texas History brought you by Kendall County Roofing,

“Ammann Road runs from State Hwy 46 in Boerne all the way to Bulverde Road in Comal County … the story of Adolph and Anna Ammann coming up right after this …”

 Kendall County Roofing

Adolph Ammann, who as a small boy barely escaped the native Indians in a raid, was a rancher, farmer and an excellent horseman. His horse, King won top honors at the Kendall County Fair. He also traveled to England with the Wild West Show. After that adventure he married Anna Schwarz who as a young girl was a housemaid for Mrs. Dane-Kendall, the widow of the founder of Kendall County. Adolph and Anna raised three children. Their Post Oak Ranch was located six miles east of Boerne.

I’m Tom Allred with Boerne Texas History and this is Boerne Radio 103.9FM.
