The THSBCA has acknowledged 3 area players as all-state… starting with Owen Kuhl from Champion as a 5A first-team second baseman, Mason Matt from Comfort as a 3A first-team all-state shortstop, and Boerne’s Jackson Grimes as a 5A All-State Elite pitcher. Grimes will also be pitching in the all star game coming up on June 14 in Round Rock. 

If you’ve been keeping up with the College Baseball World Series, you’ll know Texas is very much alive, but on the Oklahoma Sooners, a home-grown player out of Boerne High School from 2023 by the name of Camden Johnson is now playing in the series himself. Keep an eye out for him- Oklahoma plays Alabama Saturday at 2, then Texas plays Georgia at 7 on the same day.

Speaking of Saturday, we know for sure a game 5 will be played in San Antonio as a result of the Spurs winning on Monday. However, to make this an even series again, the Spurs need to win tonight in game 4. Tip-off is at 7:30 from Madison Square Garden… reports have also come out as I’m sure you’ve seen about Spurs fans getting assaulted outside the arena. Multiple Spurs and Knicks players have condemned the actions of fans, and hopefully tonight we see some healthy competition on the court, stands, and streets. Be safe, Spurs fans.
