It’s the big day for volleyball fans - the area playoffs are tonight and the stakes are big. Boerne will play Fox Tech - 7:30 at Blossom in Northeast San Antonio. Champion High will play a tough Medina Valley team at Northside… that game beginning at 6:30. One more win for both teams, and they seed into the regional playoffs. We’ll have the results tomorrow on Boerne Radio Sports.

Geneva Football’s first round playoff game has been announced and officially scheduled. They’ll travel to the Dallas area to play Dallas Christian Saturday at 2:30. Geneva Volleyball’s state semifinal game was also announced - it’ll be Friday in Waco at 7:30 against Brazos Christian. Two more wins, and they’re state champions.

The Spurs beat the Jazz, 119-97 last night at home. San Antonio is now 5-2, winning their last 5. The next game is Wednesday against the Mavericks at 8:30 from the Frost Bank Center. And if you haven’t seen it, the CBS News program, “60 Minutes” aired Sunday with a special interview with Victor Wembanyama. He is interviewed in-depth about playing, his view of American culture, and about his past 3 years in San Antonio. It’s a cool interview that aired this past Sunday, but can be found on YouTube.

It’s Tuesday November 3rd.

And it was on this date in 1948 that The Chicago Daily Tribune mistakenly publishes "Dewey's victory" before the results of the U.S. Presidential race were in. Early voting and polls predicted that Thomas E. Dewey would win in a landslide; however, Harry S. Truman won in an upset. If you have that news paper, it could be worth $4800.

Today is Election Day in Kendall County.

Polls are now open and will remain open until 7 tonight, and Kendall County voters may cast a ballot at any countywide Vote Center.

Kendall County now has more than 41,000 registered voters, so depending on when you go, you may want to give yourself a little extra time.

And don’t forget your approved photo ID.

Election officials say early-voting results should begin posting shortly after 7 tonight, with Election Day totals added as they arrive from polling locations.

The Fair Oaks Police Department reported that 11 vehicles were burglarized last week in the middle of the night, and all of them had been left unlocked by their owners. The suspects were presumably walking through neighborhoods and pulling on door handles, and anything left inside had been taken.

Here’s Fair Oaks Ranch Chief Todd Smith:

Yesterday, Chief Perez swore in Officer R. Rodriguez into the Boerne Police Department, officially bringing the department to 51 officers. If you see Officer Rodriguez out and about, be sure to say hello and welcome him to the Boerne community!

Tonight, the local chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas meets from 6 until 8 at the Cibolo Nature Center.  If you’ve been thinking about adding more native plants to your yard — or you’re just trying to keep something alive through another Texas summer — that might be worth checking out.

Geneva Volleyball wins regional title, will play in state tournament

Boerne and Boerne Champion volleyball prepare for area round matches tomorrow night in San Antonio

Dallas Cowboys in hot water following walk-off loss to Arizona… questions linger about when to fire head coach

Monday November 2, 2026

Boerne Radio Sports is brought to you by The Boerne Star and protected by The Carlson Law Firm.

Happy November! Let’s begin with volleyball and the big news over the weekend. On Saturday, Geneva Volleyball became regional champions, defeating Round Rock Christian, 3 sets to 1 in San Marcos. They have now punched their ticket to the TAPPS State Tournament. They made the state tournament two years ago in 2024, where they made it to the championship game, and lost to Lubbock Christian in the finals. They will face Brazos Christian from Bryan in the state semis.

For Boerne ISD Volleyball - the area playoffs are tomorrow. Boerne will play Fox Tech - 7:30 at Blossom in Northeast San Antonio. Champion High will play a tough Medina Valley team at Northside… that game beginning at 6:30. One more win for both teams, and they seed into the regional playoffs.

Cowboys fans - cover your ears for me. The Arizona Cardinals defeated Dallas 33-30 yesterday, in overtime, on a walk off field goal. Dallas held Arizona to only 3 points at the half, as it was 14-3. The third quarter was a turnaround for the Cards, down now 17-10. In the 4th quarter, Dallas defense gave up 20 points and through overtime it was tied at 30… then you know the rest. One of the questions lingering is whether now is the time to relieve Head Coach Brian Schottenheimer of his coaching duties. Jerry Jones was asked following the game, and to paraphrase what Mr. Jones said- he has no plans to do so right now. Dallas is now 3-5 on the year.
