Big wins for Geneva baseball and softball at home. Both played John Paul II from Corpus Christi. Baseball won 16-6 and softball won 18-3.
The men’s NCAA Tournament continues tonight with 16 teams left.. That's why they call it the Sweet 16. 11-seeded UT Austin faces 2-seeded Purdue at 6:10, and then a good one on hand between 3-seeded Illinois and 2-seeded Houston tip off at 9:05. Texas-Purdue will air on CBS, that’s “C” as is Charger, and Illinois-Houston will air on TBS; that’s “T” as in Texas.
Also, it’s MLB Opening Day as teams have their first of 162 games. The Astros start at home against the Angels at 3:10, and the Rangers will be in Philadelphia for an opening matchup with the Phillies at 3:15.
