Hey Owen Kuhl from Champion baseball has been nominated by VYPE San Antonio on their social media pages for the Player of the Year award, decided by you the fans… you know what to do… head over to BoerneRadio.com and find the sports tab and today’s blog for the link to cast your vote. They will be tallied through Tuesday at midnight.

So June 25th seems to be a sacred day for the San Antonio Spurs… in 1997, the Spurs drafted Tim Duncan 1st overall on that day, fast forward to 1999, and the Spurs won their first championship in history, and now 26 years later, they draft two potential players and talked about college stars that could add value to the roster. At #2 in the first round, they selected Dylan Harper from Rutgers… he will wear #2 on his jersey and averaged about 20 PPG. He is also a deemed playmaker which is what the Spurs could use right now. Fast forward to #14… the Spurs did make it and weren’t a part of any trades during the night… they drafted Carter Bryant from Arizona, a 6’8 forward. So the Spurs have young talent and potential trading options. I’ll have more coverage tomorrow here on Boerne Radio Sports.
