It’s a great day for game day here on Boerne Radio… game 1 of the UIL Area Championship series between Champion and MacArthur gets underway today from SAISD in San Antonio. Our coverage today will begin at 4:15 with pregame brought to you by Texas Sports Productions. It should be a good series… 

And the day before these Chargers will go to battle, selections for academic all-state awards were released from the Texas High School Coaches Association. And some Charger players made the list… the honorable mention went to AJ Grizzafi, 2nd team awards go to Lawson Brinson and Sawyer Smith… and 1st team recipients are Jackson Melanson, Andrew Harrison, and Preston Dennis. 

And Brooks Perez, the Greyhound baseball star and U of H commit ready to graduate here in a few weeks, has been selected to play in the THSBCA All-Star game at Dell Diamond in Round Rock on June 15. The senior had a batting average of .519, and an on-base percentage of .614.
