Headlines: Geneva and Boerne HS get All-District Awards for Baseball/Softball / Geneva wins 2 TAPPS awards / MLB Scores from Wednesday

Now that we’re done with the spring season of sports in both public and private schools, postseason awards are being announced and especially for Geneva baseball, softball, and Boerne High softball, some were officially released yesterday. Geneva Baseball and Softball:

• TJ Cross earned Honorable Mention

• Lily Flora earned Honorable Mention

Boerne Greyhound softball: 

Academic All-District:

• Emma Wright, Riley Partin, Cerissa Nasis, Maddie Vasquez, Lizzy Thornton, Tessa Murphy, Breanna Krause, Kenley Thomason, Brooklyn Thomason, Leni Caldwell, Jesseanna Aguirre, Ryleigh Hastings, Adysen Dixon, Ava Renteria, Alex Shill

Honorable Mention:

2nd Team All-District:

1st Team All-District:

And I should mention this as well… Geneva all-around just had another dominant year. Girls sports dominated the field once again and TAPPS has named Geneva the 4A Girls Athletics School of the Year… But Wait! There’s More! The school also is the recipient of the 4A Henderson Cup- this is the trophy awarded annually to the school with the most excellence across athletics as well as other competitions and even in the classroom… Once again, what a year for the Eagles. 

Let’s wrap up with MLB: The Rangers fell 2-0 to the Blue Jays, ultimately losing the series. The Astros improve to 30-25 after a 5-3 win over the A’s. Both clubs start a new series each tonight.
