After another sweep over the weekend, Boerne Champion baseball is in the regional final for 5A… just another step closer to going to Round Rock in a few weeks. And now this week, they will face Liberty Hill from the Austin area. Liberty Hill knocked off Pioneer in 3 games over the weekend, losing their first. So by tomorrow, we should know where and when these matchups will commence. Stay tuned on Boerne Radio Sports for more info. 

Let’s go to the pros- it was a rivalry weekend in MLB and of course that means the Houston Astros and Texas Rangers faced off and for the first time this season. They split the series after the Astros took Friday’s game, and Sunday’s game. After this series, the two clubs have 2 wins against each other… get your popcorn ready. 

And Scottie Scheffler earns his third major title in his career after winning the 107th PGA Championship on Sunday. He finished -11 with a 5 strokes under his second-place competitors, so he almost ran away with it completely. Coming up this weekend in PGA golf is the Charles Schwab Challenge from Fort Worth, Thursday through Sunday.
