Headlines: Chloe Donnell commits to S. Alabama / Football News in March! / NCAA Women’s Tournament finalizes Sweet 16 / Spurs play Detroit tonight

This is Boerne Radio Sports, I’m Esteban Serrano.
There’s pictures continuing to come in and be posted on X and across social media about the All-Star Basketball game, including the Greyhound Cheerleaders supporting team White… of course, the team their Greyhound counterparts had spots on. And timing was key specifically for Chloe Donnell - she just deservingly committed yesterday to the University of South Alabama to be a Jaguar after she graduates, and just a day after representing Boerne in the All-Star Game.
Now to some football news in March - the Champion schedule was released yesterday… flip-flops as usual with home and away, and as usual we look forward to matchups against Smithson Valley- that will be on September 19, and Wagner on October 31. And for the Greyhounds, they announced the promotion of Coach Sam Isenberg to Defensive Coordinator under new Head Coach Brett Sawyer.
First weekend of the Women’s NCAA Basketball Tournament is now in the books. Mostly-expected outcomes… TCU defeated Louisville and advanced to the Sweet 16, as well as 1-seeded Texas as they beat Illinois, Duke and North Carolina women are playing for advancement to the Elite 8, Oklahoma moves on, LSU moves on, and Baylor unfortunately loses in a close game to Ole Miss, 69-63. Their run for the championship in Tampa Bay ended early. Sweet 16 action begins Friday.
It’s also Spurs game day tonight - 6pm sharp for a tip-off in Detroit this time around.
