Headlines: Geneva and Champion players receive more late-postseason awards / Texas Tech upsets Texas, forces game 3 in OKC
Friday 6/6
This is Boerne Radio Sports…
Let’s give out some more awards this Friday… How about for Track and Field this time and Charlie Houck from Champion- he was named to the THSCA Super Elite 5A team. For Geneva, we have a few to mention. Brady Chandler after a great year he had running track, earned 2nd Team All-State and Academic All-State. And the boys golf team had a few players getting recognitions and none were in the bunker… Win Crawford, Jack Walker Harden, Jace Hulett, and Wyatt Bruss are all Honorable Mention All-State athletes, while Bruss, Walker Harden, and Eli Sorrells are Academic All-State players.
To OKC we go and the College Softball World Series… we had a UT victory Wednesday night so they lead the series… Texas Tech was hitting their strides early with a few hits, and some errors on the pitching and defense caused some runs to score so the Red Raiders had a lead, almost lost it, but in the end prevailed to Texas 4-3. So tonight, it’s a game 3 for the whole enchilada. First pitch is at 7.
