This is Boerne Radio Sports, I am Esteban Serrano…
On Sunday, Champion was recognized at the Alamo City Sports Awards where three Champion athletes were recognized with individual awards from the Express News… Bexon and Will, the Harrison brothers each had their own recognitions. Bexon was the Boys Swimming Athlete of the Year and Will was the Boys Water Polo Athlete of the Year. Cayden Van Dyne was the Girls Water Polo Athlete of the Year.
Well, whether you’re a Red Raider fan or Longhorn fan, tonight is the start of something historic- the college softball World Series championship best-of-3 series. It’s UT and Texas Tech for all the marbles. Here’s a fun fact: up to this point, Texas Tech’s ace, NiJaree Canady has thrown every single pitch, yes, every single pitch, being 362 total across all rounds of this tournament, for Texas Tech. And UT is going to have their work cut out for them in putting that to an end. Let’s see how this one goes… first pitch is tonight at 7pm from Oklahoma City. ESPN will be the network carrying the series.
