Today marks 70 days until opening night of the high school football season… and you know the grind is on when players get ready for the upcoming season just weeks away. Champion Charger Brogan Dempsey in particular has been a bit busy with a Texas State football camp and even getting in some kicking reps hitting as far as 55 yards away. 

And on the baseball side, summer league is in full swing and four Chargers have been improving their game for a season that is a little less than a year away… but with a lot of potential. Three players on the team have recently been active with their leagues, putting up some numbers. That includes Owen Kuhl, Austin Garritano, Jaedyn Yamaguchi, and Aidan Smith. Smith recently graduated and is headed to Wartburg to play, and recently pitched for his team the Texas Angels- he put up a stat line of 4 IP and 5 Ks. 

And we’ll take you down memory lane for a quick second… It was on this day 12 years ago in 2013 that the San Antonio Spurs sadly lost in game 7 to the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals… but it would be all happy when the Spurs would finish the story the following year, capturing their 5th NBA title in franchise history. The big question on fans’ minds has to be, can San Antonio do it again? And if so, how soon?
