Get to know the name Mahaley Merkens if you don’t already, we may be seeing her in the World Cup or Olympics in a few years time - the Boerne Greyhound soccer star got an invite to participate in an Olympic youth soccer ODP Development camp. This is a big deal as her senior year also approaches this upcoming season. She was a leader on the team in the 2024 state runner-up journey for the Greyhounds and this past year. She will head to North Carolina in July.

With the All-Star Break coming sooner than we think, both Texas baseball teams push to improve their records. Rangers won 16-3 in Minnesota yesterday with the White Sox on deck tonight. The Astros beat that same White Sox team last night, 4-3. And even more funny facts, Houston gets to play Minnesota tonight. They each beat each other’s current opponents in the past 24 hours, so let’s hope no Friday the 13th bad luck occurs… both games begin at 7:10.
