Headlines: Jaedyn Yamaguchi to play in High Plains Shootout / Spurs make a trade with Washington / Rare headline: Astros lose, Rangers win

We’re just days away from Jaedyn Yamaguchi, Champion Charger baseball star representing in the High Plains Shootout in Enid, Oklahoma starting July 14. He’ll be one of the catchers on Team Texas Red, as they take on the Navy team. This is a guy who with the Chargers batted almost a .400 AVG and gunned down 3 attempted stolen bases as a catcher. 

The Spurs were involved in another trade late last night- The Washington Wizards were reported in a trade with San Antonio to give the Spurs Kelly Olynyk, in exchange for Blake Wesley and Malakai Branham and a 2026 second-round pick. Not really spectacular news, but from the looks of it, I have to assume the organization is trying to free up salary space to either simply do just that and pay their current players, or shop around and eventually acquire another free agent. 

Here’s your baseball scores to wrap up: Cleveland snaps the Astros win streak, 10-6 in 10 innings, while the Rangers put on a clinic in Anaheim against the Angels, 13-1.
