Headlines:  Boil Water Notice to TWC Customers / Give To The Community Foundation of the TX H.C. / Genesis Counseling Center’s Crisis Advice / HCFS Says Pray For First Responders Too

It’s Monday July 7 and a lot to get to on this first day of the new week.

The Texas Water Company has issued a Boil Water Notice for subdivisions in their service area including several neighborhoods around Canyon Lake, Rebecca Creek, and The Summit.  They anticipate it could be a multi-day event as they monitor the debris that needs to settle.  

So the question today is what can we do?

According to the City of Kerrville - between the city, the state, and Federal support they do not need volunteers with good intentions and backhoes. And between HEB, Walmart and Local Restaurants water and food for victims and first responders are not at the top of the list.   But if you can give cash The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country (https://tinyurl.com/KerrFloodRelief) is the one vetted by the city of Kerrville, and those funds benefit the communities of Hunt, Ingram, Kerrville, Center Point and Comfort.  If you want to keep it close to our neighbors in Comfort there is also the Comfort Area Foundation. Another need is professional counseling; we spoke with the Executive Director of Genesis Counseling Center with a reminder to give grace as people process sadness and grief differently so don’t be easily offended.  Here’s Jen Belz.
