Free Agency continues for the NBA and the Spurs unfortunately had to say goodbye to arguably a big name that didn’t get a whole lot of time on the court. Sandro Mamukelashvili, also known to the fans as “Mamu,” a free agent, has taken a $5.5 Million deal from the Toronto Raptors. Mamu’s highlight as a Spur has to be the 34-point game back on March 19 against the Knicks. He did it in just under 20 minutes which is a league record.
Happening across the pond in tennis, Wimbledon got underway earlier this week. And so far 6 men from the US have qualified for the second round of the bracket, and so far on the women’s side 3 Americans have advanced. Round 1 games continue today but round 2 games also get underway.
Major Leagues: The Rangers get a big win back from Baltimore 10-2, and the Astros strike in the first game against Colorado, 6-5.
