Friday morning, the volleyball camp hosted by BISD wrapped up with a good turn out of young girls. Hey and we are 15 days away from the volleyball season beginning. The Greyhounds will be hosting Stevens High School to open their season. The Chargers start their season in San Antonio as they travel and face the Southwest Dragons. Both games will be August 12, and both games will be at 6:30.

Major drama in Major League Baseball this weekend- let’s explain. First off, the A’s managed to sweep the Astros, which means 4 straight losses for Houston. They still lead the AL West with a 60-46 record. The Rangers managed to sweep the Braves in 3 straight games, and are on a 6-game win streak. Texas is 56-50, and currently in the wild card- thanks in part to the Angels beating the Mariners on Sunday. The Rangers and Mariners are tied for the 3rd and final wild card spot at the moment, only behind the Yankees and Red Sox. Starting tonight through Wednesday, the Rangers get 3 cracks at the Angels and the Astros face the Nationals.
