Fun fact, today is one of two days during the year where none of the four major sports are played. On Friday, Major League Baseball action gets back on track with the Rangers hosting the Tigers and the Astros on the road in Seattle. And speaking of, in the All-Star game last night, the National League defeated the American League, 4-3 by way of a swing-off in Atlanta.
And has Atlanta been the hotspot the past week or so… they’re also hosting SEC Media Days. The UT Longhorns are gearing up for a historic second season in the conference and Arch Manning is the starting quarterback after Quinn Ewers got drafted to the NFL back in April. He talked about being the understudy for Ewers and how his mentorship has prepared him, saying, “I learned so much from Quinn in my two years behind him. I think he handled it like a pro. It's definitely not easy having me as the backup with all the media. I'm forever grateful for him.”
