As heard here last night, the Boerne Greyhounds in a Wild West shootout over the McCollum Cowboys… you would think Boerne would have an easy time but nope. They struggled early on with a few punts, short of goal markers… but the momentum shifted when Ben Bays had an INT and took it to the house.

Boerne would go up at the half 21-0, then double the score. Final was 42-0, Greyhounds win. They are the first team to shutout the Cowboys, and also at least take a share of the district 13 title.

Have your radios tuned in at 5 tonight for “Fired Up Friday” as tonight on Halloween, a spooky edition of Friday Night Football- with the Chargers and the Wagner Thunderbirds… (thunder sound effect) going to battle at Boerne ISD Stadium. Pregame will be at 6:30 and kickoff at 7. 

And while Kole and Will Traylor were playing at Boerne ISD Stadium with the Hounds, their dad was at the Alamodome coaching UTSA to a victory over one of the best AAC teams- Tulane. Final from downtown, 48-26.

In volleyball bi-district playoffs… Geneva was in the Houston area to play St. Thomas Episcopal and swept in 3 sets. They are moving on in TAPPS, unfortunately not the case for Champion… a team working hard all season to get in fell short to Cedar Park in 4 sets. 

And the Spurs have done it! In a 107-101 victory over the Miami Heat, the Spurs start the season 5-0 for the first time in franchise history. No team, since its incarnation in 1972 has had the distinction of that until now… still without key players in the lineup. Wembanyama had 27 points, 18 rebounds, and 6 assists.
