Day 2 of the Boerne ISD Basketball Tournament is today and the Boerne teams had great days yesterday. Here are the scores from yesterday’s slate of games, courtesy of Kerry Barboza of the Boerne Star:

Champion girls:

Beat Floresville, 70-59

Lost to Katy Taylor, 77-51

They went 1-1 on the day. 

Champion boys:

Beat Eagle Pass, 63-54

Beat McCollum, 39-32

2-0 go the Chargers.

Boerne girls:

Beat SW Legacy, 67-17

Beat Floresville, 73-54

Lady Greyhounds also go 2-0.

Boerne boys:

Beat McCollum, 45-42

Beat Sinton, 80-60  

The Boerne boys finish the bifecta with a 2-0 record as well. Games continue today. 

The Alamo Bowl kicks off at the Alamodome tonight at 6:30… BYU vs Colorado for bowl season bragging rights… and the thrills started early for Coach Prime, AKA Deion Sanders, as he was spotted at Seaworld the other day. Should be a good game tonight. 

The Spurs defeated the Nets to improve to 16-15, by a final score of 96-87.
